replaced on this car and I used a seal puller so there wasn't any gouging. I made sure they were all flush. They all went in pretty easily. I had to do some light tapping with the end of a 6mm allen key just to make sure it was bottomed out. The timing belt guide on Z32 wiki made it sound like the main seal was really hard to get in, what with using a sheet of plastic and all that, but mine went right in no problem. It was so easy that I was suspicious I didn't have it in correctly but it was in at the same depth as the one I replaced.
